GENERAL GOAL

Use computational systems efficiently as a tool to solve problems.

 

Solve real life problems, working individually and collaboratively through the efficient use of adequate computational tools.

 

Recognize and appreciate the advantage of being constantly updated and of working in a team in an atmosphere of honesty and respect, which promotes divergent thought in order to generate better alternatives for the solution of a problem.

 

Develop the skills to establish goals that demand one’s best effort and commitment toward reaching them.

 

Independent learning, which requires:

Organizing of time

Reading and following instructions

Consciousness of one’s own learning style

 

SYLLABUS

The number of chapters for this course used to be six, but it has increased to eight.  It is recommended that professors design outside activities for the students, such as one or more projects, which may be related to other disciplines with the objective of helping the students apply what they have learned to real life situations.
