The Latin American Chapter of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is the representation of this organization in the region.

The WBCSD Latin American Chapter participates in the study, analysis and solution of problems related to sustainable development in Latin America, as well as the promotion of education and training for the regional business sector. The WBCSD Latin American Chapter is also involved in the implementation of specific programs and projects on sustainable development and eco-efficiency. It interacts with the public, private and academic sectors, non-governmental (NGOs) and intergovernmental organizations, and mass media in order to promote sustainable development.

The organization has an Advisory Council made up of the Latin American members of the WBCSD and the chairmen of the region's national councils. The purpose of this council is to define and guide the WBCSD's strategy in Latin America.
